" For the first time I felt as though I was getting the service I wanted for what is such a crucial part of everyday life. Cliff's and Scott's combined years of experience together with the latest technology is refreshing. They communicated really well talked me through every aspect of the process. They answered my questions and I didn't feel rushed. I know these specs are the very best I can get - no more wondering whether a different pair would be better. Very pleased and will recommend. "

" An annual visit to your Optician can be a daunting experience, especially if you know you have a known issue with one or both eyes as in my case, however my experience at Cliff Williams Independent Optician was very calming and reassuring. The expert care and attention to detail delivered by both Cliff and Scott is first class. Here you are not just another customer, you are treated and looked after as if you are their only customer, and all while using the very latest Zeiss equipment and technology. This is an eye test experience, and is something I would gladly highly recommend."

"Had my eye test today, and I was very impressed with the service I received from Cliff and his assistants. They were very thorough and it was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend having the additional test, because Cliff explained what he had photographed. Very interesting. I would definitely recommend them."

"For a number of years I had been having problems with badly fitted specs and poor quality lenses. I came across Cliff Williams website while searching opticians in my area. I thought his machine for taking fitting measurements a bit too good to be true but decided to give it a go. That was 2 yrs ago. My glasses fitted perfectly and the lens quality is very good. I had my second pair a few weeks ago. They fit perfectly too. My wife is also a customer now. It helps that Cliff the Dispensing Optician and Scott the Optometrist are good when discussing results and options. Cliff makes our visits an enjoyable experience. Thanks for that."

"Having recently moved to Kirkcaldy, and being a little jaded by years of using various high street opticians, I am really pleased to have found Cliff and the team. I found them all to be very friendly and professional. The personal service was outstanding, nothing was rushed and everything was explained to me including being able to experience the difference my new prescription would make...."

Thanks to all the high tech gadgetry Cliff possesses, when I collected my new Zeiss varifocal lenses they were absolutely perfect for me from the start. Needless to say I am absolutely delighted both with the service received any my new frames and lenses"

"My wife and I have been customers of Cliff's for the last nine years and have continually been impressed with the high quality of service provided. Cliff has the most up to date Zeiss equipment and always goes beyond the call of duty to ensure that our requirements are met. His wide range of glasses should suit any taste and are fairly priced, with options tailored to the customer's needs and budget. I am happy to recommend this optician to potential customers who are looking for a bespoke service that is second to none."

"Thanks to Cliff and Scott for their exceptional expertise and incredibly well-equipped facility in Kirkcaldy. I made an appointment for an overdue eye test and with a concern about a recent "light strobing" incident in the periphery of one of my eyes. They calmly explained what was going on with my eye (a normal part of ageing) and went the extra mile to take incredibly detailed and thorough images of the back of my eyes with their state of the art equipment to make sure that nothing untoward had happened...."

J. Wills

"....Cliff's infectious passion for his field of work means that he has invested in equipment that can diagnose the health or otherwise of eyes as well as, if not better than, an NHS eye hospital. Scott was kind and very thorough with my routine test and went the extra mile to investigate my complaint of dry eyes and provide me with DIY relief. I can't praise these guys enough. They were kind and helpful and I felt that I was in incredibly safe hands and entirely free from any pressure to purchase a new prescription...very refreshing!"

" I have been a customer of Cliff Williams for 11 years and his knowledge and equipment are amazing. I would not consider going anywhere else as his Zeiss equipment is what made me go in the first place. We travel by car, two trains to Kirkcaldy and a visit is so much worthwhile. Top class rating."

"Cliff’s business is excellent. It is so professional, & smoothly run. He has always had the latest technology, which is reassuring , & that I was very grateful for, 18 years ago, as it picked up that my left retina was starting to detach, so it saved my sight. It’s a friendly, family business, working along with his lovely wife Heather, & Scott the Optometrist, who is Very thorough...."

"....The atmosphere in the shop is very relaxed, & I always feel very chilled when I leave. Cliff also, is very good at choosing the right frames that suit your face, which is great if you are indecisive, (like me!). Highly recommend Cliff’s, & we should all support local independent businesses wherever possible."

"I have attended Cliff Williams opticians for several years. His expertise and service is second to none. Thanks to his state of the art equipment and ability to use it correctly, he has diagnose both cataracts and glaucoma in early stages, allowing me to have these problems addressed and consequently saving my sight. I only hope he is still practicing for many years and I never have to find another optician as I doubt anyone could match him or his service and pleasant manner."
